From Laura
As far as Saturday goes, that sounds good. I don't think the walk through Angeleno Heights would interest you much. It' s a neighborhood adjacent to downtown and is about as Urban as LA gets. Its appeal is essentially just two blocks of predominantly Victorian Homes saddled into a mash of freeways.
Instead, we know a great cafe, oceanside, on the Venice boardwalk for brunch. And either after, or if no one's hungry we can skip that and drive up the Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu for a moderately steep hike through the Santa Monica Mtns. which overlook both the city and the ocean.
